Miniature rails are the ideal solution for dimensionally challenged applications. With sizes from only 8mm high by 17mm wide and load capacities up to 900kg no other guideway solution can offer such performance in such a small package. These guides are ideal for packaging machines, medical equipment, semi-conductor and electronics, tool jigs and measuring equipment.
Here are some of the benefits of miniature rails;
- Low friction for easy motion.
- Compact design to save space.
- High rigidity for precision motion.
IAS can offer miniature guide solutions from SBC or Simplicity and both types are similar dimensions.
SBC miniatures are a recirculating ball, profile rail design constructed from 440 stainless steel. Rail lengths can be up to 600mm long and wide body types are also avaliable for high moment loads. We now also have some types stocked in New Zealand. If you have a machine with a THK, NSK, INA/FAG, IKO, SKF or STAR miniature rail then we can cross you over to a dimensionally equivalent alternative at competitive prices and short lead times. More information on SBC profile rail can be found on this page on our website where you can also find catalogues and drawing files in STEP/IGES/DXF and DWG.
Simplicity miniature rails are a plain sliding bearing featuring the unique "Frelon" liner. These are self lubricating, corrosion resistant, and quiet. They have a wide temperature range, are contaminant resistant and suitable for washdown situations. More information on our Simplicity range of products can be found on this page on our web site.
