Hiwin Mikrosystems offer the Magi-Encoder system, as a compact and accurate digital linear readout system, which offers the user an alternative to using expensive multi-axis readouts. It can be used as a measurement scale readout, or through the translator be used with PLC's to influence other machine functions. It is a very cost effective option, and can measure up to 10m lengths. (30m is an additional option).
The digital readout is a compact unit, and can be adjusted to a +/- value, adjustable decimal point and imperial/metric. Please see the attached Hiwin Magi Encoder pdf for resolution, accuracy, temperature and insulation classes.
